I know I don't have to convince a Who What Wear reader of the versatility, portability and general cool factor of denim. So I get straight to the point, namely that I found two very casual (but cute!) Denim outfits that are so easy to recreate. Both were discovered on my stylish colleague Norah Murphy, whose outfits I have to admit that I copy regularly. For starters, these jeans she's wearing are very trendy right now. I also have to keep in mind that each of these jeans outfits only costs a total of $ 100. (Thanks, Walmart!). I rest my case.
I would argue that Norah is as much a denim fan as I am. "There is nothing I love more than being able to put together an outfit in three seconds and make it look chic straight away, and that's how I feel when I style my favorite denim types," she says. I immediately noticed the white-black denim look she was wearing the other week. "I've been so interested in high-rise wide-leg denim lately. I think it creates a silhouette that is unique and really emphasizes the look. I also always choose denim that has something interesting going on, which is why I felt drawn to the pair of legs on display with the cool buttons. "
In terms of styling, Norah combined her white wide-leg jeans with a simple white t-shirt and fun black accessories. The pearl bag trend is still strong, so it's hard to miss this $ 30 trend. Regarding the sandals above, Norah says: "There is nothing I love more in spring than a block heel sandal. They add a bit more height and bring more interest in my appearance." White-black outfits always feel very interesting, not to mention the elegance. It therefore feels appropriate seasonally to prioritize more white parts in the look with smaller black reflections. "This is pretty much the spring outfit of my dreams," says Norah.
Norah's second denim outfit is just as cool and a lot more colorful. "Whenever I scroll through my Instagram feed, I see the most stylish people mixing red and pink, whether it's a manicure, makeup look or outfit," she says of her inspiration for this Look. I personally think that matching these colors is a lot of fun. "I mean, hello, how good are these red sandals?" Norah asks me. I couldn't agree more, both in terms of color and style. I also really like that she's carrying a white shoulder bag to tie everything together.
The denim that she selected here is all about classic, short-cut, medium-sized blue jeans. I think this is the type I most often reach in my closet, especially in the warmer months, so I'm always looking for new ways to style her. This special pair also has some interesting details: especially a light kick flare and oversized pockets. "They have these fantastic details on the front pocket that make them so much more stylish. I'm also a killer for a short, wide leg. I seriously think it's the perfect style for spring," says Norah.
