The 9-to-5 style of women has changed dramatically in the past decade, and particularly in recent years. It's not just about whether your office dress code contains more jeans, but whether or not you're working from an office at all. With so many people working freelance in coffee shops or small businesses working in common spaces, workwear is really redefined.
Personally, my office style could use a little revision. While I'm technically working in a traditional office environment with a relaxed dress code, I sometimes work from home or spend most of the day in the city at various meetings and events. My outfit consists of a pair of straight-leg jeans, a kind of button-down blouse and strappy sandals. Do not get me wrong; I love this look, but I absolutely have to turn things upside down a bit.
I'm consciously trying to do just that this season and my purchases are already in full swing. First of all, these five banana republic outfits are equally trendy and polished, which in my opinion is the formula for success for the A + office style, regardless of what your work environment looks like. I can't guarantee it, but I'm pretty sure these looks will make your employees (or other coffeeshop customers) a little jealous of style. Sorry, not sorry.
Just in time for spring, you can buy more staple foods from the Banana Republic.
