Hello there 🙂
It's official – the 2020 Met Gala has been officially postponed due to unfortunate developments and public concerns about the Coronavirus and COVID-19. We have been waiting for final updates to the status of the event as it is only a few months away, and today we have finally heard from Anna Wintour himself on this matter. Anna confirmed in a recent Vogue article that "due to the Metropolitan Museum's inevitable and responsible decision to close its doors, Over timeand the opening gala will not take place on the scheduled date. "This means that the first Monday in May will not be crowned with the best moments of the year on the red carpet for the first time.
Given that the Metropolitan Museum of Art closed its doors to the public a few days ago alongside a handful of other notable New York City landmarks, this news isn't a shock. In the meantime, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will "do a thorough cleaning and announce further steps early next week," according to a recent update in the New York Times.
