Hello there 🙂
As our British friends explained last month, the retro Mary Jane will be the star shoe silhouette of 2020. The charming style has always been present, but has become the focus of the shoe industry in recent years. But as designers from Carolina Herrera to Marc Jacobs are represented in the S / S 20 collections, Mary Janes is making a comeback in eclectic colors and shapes this year.
TBH, if Carrie Bradshaw weren't fictional and was there today, we'd bet she'd want the fresh Mary Janes to hit the scene. After all, in the fourth season she was interested in the Manolo Blahnik Campari Mary Janes (which she called the "urban shoe myth") Sex and the City, Blair Waldorf, another style icon, often wore the sophisticated shoe trend in this fictional TV ad Gossiper. Well, today's fashion girls – including my stylish mother who loves MJs for their classic style – will undoubtedly stock up on the New Wave MJs and provide an easy way to add sparkle to an ensemble.
To break the trend a bit further, we've summarized some shoe-style pictures of Bradshaw and Waldorf to show the trend from the early and mid-2000s along with the look of the 2020 MJs on the runway and on the street. Oh, we've also released a number of cool silhouettes in case you want to try a few of these must-try shoe trends before everyone else.
