It's official: spring is coming (keyword: collective joys!). This means that longer days and warmer temperatures are on the horizon. But what amazes me every year is the uncomfortable time between winter and spring, when it is not cold enough for all winter shifts, but also not warm enough for spring dresses and sandals. Not to mention the dramatic fluctuations in temperature throughout the day – 50 a.m., 70 a.m., 40's at night – getting dressed can be confusing.
That's why I decided to look for inspiration from some of the best-dressed people on the planet (who also have a team of stylists behind every move) about what to wear during the uncomfortable winter-spring transition. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Priyanka Chopra have mastered the art of layering transition pieces, and I plan to ride their coattails this year. Listed below are the six best winter-to-spring denim outfits that I'm going to copy from celebs (and I recommend you do that too).
On Hailey Bieber: Gucci sunglasses; Natasha Zinko Jeans; Nike sneakers; Jennifer Fisher earrings. Hailey has the right idea with this casual yet cool look. Her leather trench coat keeps her warm in the colder times of the day, but when the afternoon sun looks out, her combination of sweater and jeans still feels great all around. Oh, and the baseball hat and sneakers are just a nice touch of styling.
On Selena Gomez: Stuart Weitzman's boots; Jennifer Fisher earrings. This is one of the easiest looks to copy. Just take your favorite short coat and pull it over your sweater, add your wide-leg jeans and ankle boots and you're done. It's the perfect balance between casual and yet together.
Gigi Hadid uses all of these items of clothing in her closet. She combined a printed blazer, a chunky turtleneck, torn jeans, and knee-high boots to create the perfect transition outfit that we can all recreate with the version of these pieces that we already own.
On Priyanka Chopra: Kendra Scott earrings. Priyanka Chopra's outfit is the kind of polished day look I want to wear this season. Her colorful sweater and lightly washed jeans suddenly look so chic when simply adding bare pumps. This is a styling trick that I have now engraved on my brain.
On Kaia Gerber: Loewe Mantel. Kaia Gerber is one of those celebrities that are full of outfit ideas that are relatively easy to recreate. Her relaxed style always feels attainable (assuming my lambskin coat is not Loewe), and this look is no different. Take your favorite lambskin coat and just add an airy blouse, straight leg jeans and ankle boots.
About Katie Holmes: Khaite Jimmy Fringe suede jacket ($ 5,500) and envelope pleat tote ($ 1,800); Agolde & # 39; 90s mid-rise straight leg jeans ($ 198); Re / Done Heritage Cotton Classic T-Shirt ($ 78); Manolo Blahnik Ruby suede mules with pointed toes. This could be my favorite Katie Holmes look ever. This fringe jacket is just so good. Here's another look that you can probably replicate with pieces in your closet. Take a suede shirt or suede jacket (or blanket if you like) and pull it over your favorite jeans and t-shirt. A leather case would create the same mood here, too, given the recent popularity of the trend that you may already have.
