My mother, like me, thinks it's the accessories that really make an outfit, well, an outfit. While she often sticks to simpler clothes that fit in the classic style she's been working on for years, she tends to spice things up with her extras – especially her handbags. While she has invested in some designer bags over the years that have definitely retained their wear-and-tear value, there are some other silhouettes she dreamed of owning.
Of course, I gave feedback on these styles when she listed them for me. For the most part, I was on board with every designer handbag that she wanted because it was timeless and, although my mother was 60, would work for anyone of any age. But I wanted to take my insight a step further and give my mom inside information about the bags that I think not only could be stylistically worthwhile, but could also hold their resale value (which makes them an even better investment) ). To get this information, I went straight to an expert – Charles Gorra, CEO and co-founder of Mekka Rebag handbag resale. He confirmed with me five of the It handbag styles that my mother and I love and that hold their value.
Keep scrolling to uncover the designer bags mentioned – with clues as to why mom desires and the findings from Gorra. Also, buy the used styles along with other must-have bags that are worth considering being suitable for everyone of all ages (because you should carry everything you love – no matter which one Year you were born).
And while my mother obviously doesn't drop money on all of the bags in question, she mentioned to me that she is interested in saving her money in order to invest in one of the silhouettes and become her new contact point. Note: it's the beauty of Louis Vuitton below.
