Hello there 🙂
As royal fans know, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned as working members of the royal family last year, it contained an arrangement that should be reviewed after a year. Now Meghan and Harry have made up their minds once and for all after discussing with the Queen: They will not return as working royals.
How will it be different in the future? Buckingham Palace's official announcement stated that they would lose their patronage and affiliations with all of the following organizations: the Royal Marines, RAF Honington, the Royal Navy small ships and divers, the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, The Royal National Theater and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. These patronage are now distributed to other family members – presumably also to Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, Meghan and Harry's press release states that "Service is Universal" and they will continue to partner with numerous charities such as Invictus Games, Mayhew Animal Rescue, Smart Works and others. Plus, the news no doubt coincides with the couple's decision to interview Oprah Winfrey on March 7th as they can speak more freely without official royal associations. I can't wait to watch. In the meantime, scroll down for some of your family's best moments.
Next, Meghan and Harry's baby # 2 paid homage to Princess Diana in subtle ways.
