Katie Sturino's mission is simply inspiring: she built a business with the goal of empowering women of all shapes and sizes to find their confidence and celebrate their personal style. As an entrepreneur, social media influencer, advocate of body positivity and animal activist, Sturino has an ethos that has a positive effect on the life of women. Through it Instagram and blog, The12ishStyle.comShe established a voice by creating the hashtags #SuperSizeTheLook and #MakeMySize, which eventually went viral and attracted the attention of millions. Sturino then started her own company, MegaBabe, a beauty line with well thought-out and professionally manufactured non-toxic products that offer solutions for women to feel better in their own skin. Since launching Megababe in 2017, the company has already exceeded its five-year growth forecast and continues to grow with new, innovative product launches that are not only sold out, but are known to collect waiting lists of over 13,000 people.
Before Sturino became an influential voice in the industry, she was pretty busy working for top luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel in fashion, and eventually founded her own PR agency, Tinder PR (before Tinder was even a thing) ). Discovered through her clever and quirky posts for one of the first Instagram animal sensations, @toastmeetsworld (now) @dogmeetsworld), Sturino had an aha moment that made her realize that she had to change something.
