It was around this time that Jennifer Lopez performed at the Super Bowl in Miami last year, just before COVID-19 went into effect. Today she performed in a completely different setting: at the United States Capitol for the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
In a white Chanel pantsuit, Lopez sang "America the Beautiful" and Woody Guthries sang "This Land Is My Land". Her swaying coat and wide-leg pants looked beautiful in suffragette white. My favorite aspect of her outfit, however, was her subtle homage to VP Harris: a pearl bracelet.
