Hi, I'm Allyson, trying out a lot of Amazon basics (some examples here, here, and here). I realize that Amazon can be a very overwhelming place. That's why I'm here to help you take control of the fashion aspect whenever I can. (When it comes to lightbulbs and electronics, you are alone.) I recently ordered a few basics that I'm sure will get me right into spring. The reviews have been good and they're all under $ 30 so I thought why not?
I am happy to announce that my order was successful as all three items are keepers. I wore khaki pants (a trend you'll want to buy before spring), a popular turtleneck, and a lightweight crew-neck sweater perfect for spring. My review: Who would have thought khakis could actually be flattering? I think the trick with these is that they are high waisted, stretchy but not too stretchy, and have the perfect amount of cut (for reference, I'm 5 & # 39; 4 "). To be honest, I was a bit skeptical these would work as pants can be oh so good or bad, but I like them and will wear them in the world (although they are comfortable enough for WFH too).
My review: I was attracted to this turtleneck because it has almost 3,000 reviews and almost 5 stars. Impressive. Because of the fit of the model, I chose my usual size small, but it's a little more relaxed for me, and to have it more as a layered piece I would recommend downsizing. The ribbed fabric makes it feel cozy and looks a lot more expensive than $ 20. There are many colors to suit all of your turtleneck needs. I hid it and photographed it loosely so you can get a feel for the length.

My review: Maybe it's wishful thinking as winter is still in full swing, but I've been looking for some lightweight spring sweaters lately and this one turned out to be just the ticket. It's definitely breathable and won't make you sweat if it's mild outside, but it's not so thin that it looks cheap and wrinkled. When I took it out of the box, I thought it might fit a little tight, but it fitted perfectly, with the ideal amount of slip.
