Hello there 🙂
Even though the fashion industry is miles away, I'm a fashion editor who works from home (in Raleigh, NC). This has been the case for the past 5 1/2 years, and I've learned a lot during that time, not just about productivity (that's a very different story) but also about how to dress. When I was working in an office, comfort was frankly low on my priority list for my outfits. But since I've been working from home, I've been unhappy if my outfit is in any way restrictive. I don't rely on sweatpants everyone Day (I wear jeans a few times a week when I work) but they have become more important to me than ever and I am always looking for the best brands.
What makes good sweatpants? I have some thoughts about it. In contrast to jeans, I don't like it if they are very high waisted. I prefer a sloppy look. I also like sweatpants that are thick enough to have a bit of shape because if they are too thin they will stretch and look pretty sloppy. Keep scrolling to find out more about my criteria for "good sweatpants" and to buy the seven brands I swear by.
You probably already know that Alo's leggings are fantastic, but have you tried the sweatpants? Seriously they are just as good and they make matching tops that suit them (if you are a complete person).
Seriously, don't sleep on Lou & Grey's sweatpants (though you can sleep in the She). Words can't describe how soft and cozy they are, and the brand is constantly coming up with new colors, prints, and fits to stock up on.
Outdoor Voices sweatpants feel like they were in the 90s and are available in the best colors. No wonder they are always sold out.
If you're looking for a sporty look, Nike is an obvious choice. And its affordable sweatpants live up to their reputation. Even Net-a-Porter agrees.
Courageous statement: Reformation in casual clothing is just as good as nightwear. The perfect sweatpants is proof of that.
Champion jogging pants are as classic as it gets. The logo is timeless, prices are low, the fit is great and they are incredibly comfortable.
Entireworld is the comfortable brand It, which has been causing quite a stir lately. Celebrities and influencers can't get enough, and given that they're overwhelmed, no one else can.
