Given my role as a fashion editor, my friends and family routinely hit me for style advice each season. Recently a friend of mine asked if there was a simple but chic outfit idea that she should try this season. She specifically said, "I want something fashionable but light – something your most stylish colleagues would even wear." I had a few ideas for her based on some of my recent IG outfit research.
Of course, I wanted to share the top outfit idea with you (the first one below) along with a number of other ensembles that I would like to tell anyone I know to give it a try if they ask for recommendations. All in all, the looks in question are pretty simple by nature, but they also have that fashionable twist to them. They're also mostly made up of basics and just a few of those trendy items.
