Helena Christensen, the legendary supermodel of the 90s, is among the fashion designers. Together with H&M, she will be launching a capsule collection at the end of January 2020. We are already showing you the most beautiful parts of the collection and will tell you where and when you can buy them!
H&M recently announced the launch of a merch collection with the hip and globally successful musician Billie Eilish, and the next superstar is already in the starting blocks. Superstar? No, actually a supermodel! Because most of you are probably 51-year-old Helena Christensen known as a cult supermodel from the 90s. While she used to be in front of the camera with model icons like Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Tyra Banks or Heidi Klum, today she has made a name for herself as a fashion and art photographer.
After her work has been seen in fashion magazines and art galleries around the world, Christensen's photos have motivated the Swedish textile company H&M to work with the Danish-born artist.
This is what the exclusive Capsule Collection looks like
Together with an internal team from H&M, a capsule collection, consisting of t-shirts, cropped sweatshirts and oversized hoodies, was created, inspired by streetwear designs from the 90s. A calm palette of white, black and beige stone tones make Christensen's flower photos the focus of the collection. The photos of the supermodel give the styles a very special “touch of elegance”, says Maria Östblom, Head of Womenswear Design at H&M.
Christensen herself is also a big fan of her collaboration with H&M and the fashion collection created in the process. “This not only allowed me to bring my photos to life on clothes, but also to look at them through my lens when I captured them for the campaign with the camera. I wanted to capture tomorrow's generation, encourage them to be themselves and make their personality shine. ” Here you can see the first exclusive pictures of the Capsule Collection:
The Capsule Collection by H&M and Helena Christensen will be available from January 30th in selected stores worldwide and at hm.com *.
