Combining denim shirt: 7 styling ideas
Denim shirts are cool, no question about it. But the trendy shirt also has a catch: You often don't know which pants or which skirt to combine with it. So that you no longer stand at a loss in front of your wardrobe, here are the best styling tips for your denim shirt!
# 1 denim on denim
Jeans and jeans don't work? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Denim shirts are great to combine with jeans. The only important thing is that the different colors don't bite each other. Therefore, make sure that the two parts either have a very similar tone or harmonize with contrasting colors, i.e. both have an opaque or washed-out shade, for example. For a denim all-over look, you can wear a leather jacket and ankle boots, for example.

# 2 Suitable for business with a blazer
If the dress code in your office allows, you can interrupt the eternal styling routine of a white blouse and combine a denim shirt with a blazer, suit trousers or pencil skirt. You will see that even the simplest office outfit gets a new twist and a stylish touch with the denim part. An elegant business look is also created when you style a denim shirt with palazzo pants or culottes.
# 3 As a denim dress replacement
If the denim shirt is long enough, you can repurpose it and simply wear it as a dress. Bare legs on hot days, in autumn and winter the whole thing also looks good with tights. In addition, a waist belt to give the shirt shape and a pair of high ankle boots, the outfit looks feminine and sexy.

# 4 Denim shirt worn loosely as a jacket
The same applies to somewhat coarser denim shirts. You can also use them for other purposes and wear them as a transition jacket. In this case, we especially love the break in style from a feminine and playful dress in combination with the blue shirt.
# 5 Sporty & cool with a shirt and sneaker
Do you like it more sporty? No problem. Because no look looks more casual and at the same time top-styled like a denim shirt combination with sneakers and a simple white T-shirt. Either you just leave it with this clean look or you add small accents with accessories. You can also style the denim shirt with a jersey skirt, yoga pants or the currently so hyped gray jogging suit. In all cases, the shirt cuts a great figure.

# 6 Casual chic with a denim shirt and animal print
You can even wear a denim shirt to party. A firm, dark denim fabric looks particularly cool with shiny metallic pieces as well as animal prints, flowing silk and shimmering velvet. Glittering pieces of jewelry also go perfectly with the denim shirt. This ensures that the overall picture doesn't look too much like a diva, but still exudes a certain nonchalance.

# 7 Comfortably knotted with wide pants
We are currently looking in vain for tight cuts in pants. The motto is: the wider the leg, the better. Perfect with a loose denim shirt that you knot at the waist. Add to that pretty sandals and a chic little handbag and the look is there. Small women should definitely combine high shoes with this styling so that the look doesn't look too compressed.
In our video we show you simple styling tips for small women that will have a big impact in no time:
