Hello there 🙂
Certain items of clothing and outfits simply don't work indoors. I think we're learning this more than ever because many of us work from home and spend a lot more time in the house than we ever thought. I don't know anything about you, but when I stay at home I have no tolerance for rigid fabrics, super high waist bands, or anything clingy or itchy. Basically, I don't want to wear anything uncomfortable. But I also don't want to invest in a lot of "innerwear" that I don't want to wear outside if we get the okay to venture out again.
Not that it is a problem, but my solution to this "problem" is to look for the types of pieces that can be both. I have selected nine trends and basics that stylish women are wearing inside and that you definitely want to wear outdoors sometime. Keep scrolling to buy the items and find out how you can wear them indoors now and outdoors later.
Within: Wear them with loose jeans or sweatpants to embellish them a little.
Outside: Combine one with a medium length denim skirt and plateaus for a look inspired by the 70s.
Within: Since they haven't touched the ground outdoors, wear them as slippers for now.
Outside: Turn your slippers into your most comfortable summer sandals.
Within: Wear it over leggings or bike shorts.
Outside: Wear it with a shorts suit or put it in flared jeans or Bermuda shorts.
Within: Add some jewelry if you'd like. Shoes optional.
Outside: In summer, most matching sets with flat sandals and gold jewelry look chic.
Within: Combine this cheap, popular trend with your favorite sweats.
Outside: Drag them over leggings with your Kaia Gerber-style sneakers.
Within: Wear them with everything: pajamas, knit shorts, sweats, jeans, the list goes on …
Outside: High waisted jeans or shorts and all the shoes you want do the trick.
Within: A sweatshirt, t-shirt or sweater are all convenient options.
Outside: Wear it with your favorite puff sleeve top.
Within: Wear them with anything you would wear your favorite sweatpants to.
Outside: Embrace the sporty look and combine it with sneakers, crew socks and a t-shirt or tank (or a white button-down if you want to embellish it a little).
Within: All you need is your pajamas and your favorite slippers.
Outside: If there was ever a time to revive the pajama dressing trend, it will be 2020. Only wear them with shoes that are not reminiscent of slippers.
