Before proceeding, no, this is not a story about jeans, white t-shirts, and tote bags. While these are all staples for the wardrobe, I'm here today to talk to you about pieces that were once the basics of the wardrobe but somehow became "trendy". These pieces then have managed to feel at home again in the basics area of our wardrobe. Last year we saw the rise of a "more boring" way of dressing (bourgeoisie) that ultimately changed the way women viewed style and outfit composition as a whole. What used to be a strong focus on trends shifted to the rampant acquisition of quality basics – relaxed suit, beautiful knitwear and practical accessories.
In a way, this big fashion shift is kind of is the tendency. Suddenly we look into our closet, which is filled with neutral tones and customized items, and the trend area has been replaced exclusively by basics, which brings me to my main point: The re-identification of basic clothing items as "cool" has completely shifted our closets and after a few Years and several seasons, the following eight articles were officially classified as trend-proof.
For me, this means that the basics could be brought back to life and that we were at home again in the "clothes clips" section of our wardrobes. The eight pieces in front of us did just that after passing the trend and timelessness test.
Here I'm going to walk you through the eight pieces of clothing I think are trend-setting this year, including mules, cardigans, and more.
