Hello there 🙂
When I started working on this story, I was surprised that I didn't really have it The many shoes older than three years that I still wear. I suppose I follow the trends and get tired of my shoes pretty quickly, which goes with the territory of a fashion editor. Unfortunately, I discovered seven pairs that are so classic that I still wear them years later.
What are my criteria for shoes with durability? It's pretty easy, but it depends on the shoes. For sneakers, I prefer clean, no-frills sneakers in black and white. They are slippers for apartments. For boots, it's Chelsea. And for heels, they're mules. Neither of these styles will be a thing of the past, they're all a bit boring and they're all casual yet polished. Keep scrolling to buy exactly the shoes I'm referring to and see how I design them through my Instagram.
There are a lot of good white sneakers, but Vejas has been a long-time favorite of mine. They look clean, crisp and classic, just what so many outfits need. (If solid white is too boring for you, there are many options with a little more color.)
You have probably owned several Chelsea boots in your life, just like me, but none I have met have met ACNE Studios' Jensen boots. They're simple, but a bit edgy thanks to the graphic elastic details and the metal-clad toe.
Frankly, I think these are the shoes that I wear more than any other pair. I wear them during the day to travel at night. I wear them with jeans, clothes, leggings. They are undoubtedly the most versatile and comfortable shoes I own.
When it comes to athletic sneakers, Nike Roshe Ones have been my favorite pastime. They are simple, light, affordable and are equally suitable for workouts and running.
Mules have long been my favorite heel style, and a few years ago Mansur Gavriel made the perfect pair of kitten heels that I bought in camel grosgrain and black suede. I love the chic almond toes and how effortlessly cool they make my outfits look. Unfortunately, the style is no longer made, but I found a similar pair that is just as timeless.
As I mentioned before, I'm a loafer girl. Before I invested in Gucci style, I was part of Madewell's loafers. This is the Elinor style, and they're insanely comfortable and classic.
I bought Vans Old Skool sneakers for the first time when they were the It sneakers a few years ago. Lo and behold, they are still cool and are still worn by the most stylish celebrities (e.g. Hailey Bieber).
