All ways to wear is a monthly series that summarizes the personal twists the Who What Wear team takes for a particular item, style, or trend. Whether it's the current denim or the season's It print, we hope to inspire your daily outfits and increase the cost per wear for some of our favorite items.
I'm an avid denim wearer to the point where I sometimes don't wear anything else for weeks. It's hard not to be when they're so versatile, but I'm consciously trying to change my winter outfits more. Enter Lederhosen: the lower style that I never knew I needed and I can't live without now. I personally find them as easy to style as my trustworthy jeans and find that they look a little more sophisticated for work and going out.
I'm clearly not alone – practically everyone in the Who What Wear offices has been wearing lederhosen (or faux leather pants!) Lately. Translation? Styling ideas abound. For your viewing pleasure, my current seven favorite lederhosen outfits can be seen on my chic colleagues …
At its core, this look is simple: a simple white T-shirt, leather pants and loafers. But if you top it off with a fun color block bag and plaid shirt jacket (shacket anyone?), You have a cool, off-duty look that will bring you to a halt on the street.
Unexpected color combinations just put a smile on my face, and this pink-green pairing is no exception. It's definitely the proof I need that lederhosen can be worn pretty much until the sweater's weather becomes sweaty.
I love the juxtaposition of polished button-down pants and edgier leather pants, especially for an elegant office outfit. Until further notice I will wear my collar outside of my jackets. Is #laurenmademedoit already trendy?
The matching sweater set, the chunky gold chain necklace, the boots with stud soles … so many important things happen in this outfit that I almost forgot about these cool leather joggers. Everything about this cozy outfit is the reason why I can leave my apartment in New York in the deepest winter.
Black and white outfits always feel polished, even if they include a casual sweater and a high-top conversation. I also like this little trendy snake leather handbag to complete the two-tone look.
These pants are arguably the most bespoke of the whole bundle, making them the perfect polished garment for an epic office style. Combined with a plaid blazer and pointed crocodile boots, this could be a great outfit to impress your boss with.
This weekend-ready outfit is ideal for days when only a light color will take you through the dreary weather.
