Hello there 🙂
Something unusual happened on the runways in autumn / winter 2020: We have reinterpreted many LBDs. It's common to see a lot of black dresses in every collection or season, but this time it was clear that in 6 months everyone's little black dresses will be redesigned. Between cocktail parties and ruffled soirees, prepare to enjoy LBDs that have been spliced, draped, and hemmed for the enjoyment of the wearer (and viewer).
In advance, we've broken down the seven latest LBD trends for the runways in Fall / Winter 2020, including the pictures and purchases that each need to be backed up. By now you certainly have at least one little black dress that you wore to death. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of the fresh styles.
This season we didn't just see little black dresses that were spliced and diced – it was an important trend that we are preparing for the coming autumn. However, seeing the gaping cuts on these dresses felt fresh for an LBD.
Any LBD with fabric draped around your neck in any way is an LBD to watch out for. This subtle detail gives this otherwise "simple" clothing style a sultry and seductive atmosphere.
This season was really all about the neck. The cutouts became exciting, but this swirling, modern design (almost reminiscent of a missing piece of the puzzle) was worth a visit in relation to the LBD.
The spring was all about details inspired by lingerie, and apparently also in the fall. We saw more transparent, boned and laced clothes on the catwalk than ever before. If you ask us, it's just the upgrade that your LBD collection desperately needs.
Do you fancy a frivolous trend? Then an LBD with fringes is the right style for you. Long fringes fell up and down from the clothes on the runways, and surprisingly the ruffled detail finally felt wearable. Just scroll down to the shopping options below – you will see.
Believe it or not, the off-the-shoulder trend is back and feels much higher than before. While we've definitely seen more traditional off-the-shoulder styles, it was this flip-over detail that we thought about the most.
Strapless styles are by no means new, but if we learned something from last season, then the 90s influenced many of the spring collections. So, of course, details from the decade seeped away in autumn 2020. Especially the tube top, as they are clothes. We have seen both literal repetitions of clean tub dresses and the inclusion of festive frills to make them feel more alive.
