Hello there 🙂
If you've ever looked at a street style summary, you've definitely come across a familiar scene: Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Friis Madsen stroll side by side and look incredibly cool. Given Copenhagen's ability to set trends, it is no coincidence that both women are Danish. Valdimars and Friis Madsen are not only the queens of Scandi street style, but also the talented designers of one of my favorite brands in Denmark: Rotate Birger Christensen. Being anchored both behind the scenes and in front of the camera in the Copenhagen fashion scene, I thought they were the perfect people to get Scandi-approved tips for spring style.
I have now participated in Copenhagen Fashion Week three times and Rotate is reliably the show with the highest energy and the best mood for dance parties. The brand's recent show for F / W 20 was of course no exception. Before we get into autumn, however, we look forward to talking about what's ahead: spring trends. Valdimars and Friis Madsen have shared their three best style tips for this season, and you should take notes.
In keeping with the theme, I have also included pieces by Rotate and some other Scandinavian brands that will be shown at Copenhagen Fashion Week – including Rains, Ganni, Stine Goya, Remain Birger Christensen and Munthe.
"For spring, our key color is definitely orange," said Valdimar and Friis Madsen to Who What Wear. "We feel that it was a kind of forgotten jewel that is ready to really be shown in the sun and on the dance floor. In general, both of us will wear many bright colors this season: purple, orange, yellow . "
"Danish women are getting more daring, so we think we'll see a lot of leather trench coats," said Valdimars and Madsen. "We've gone through several variations of the leather jacket, so it's time to make it more dramatic."
"The details matter. A great belt with a striking buckle will enhance your party dress," said the duo.
Next, four color trends wear women in Tokyo, Paris and Amsterdam.
